It was as expected. I didn't stay too long. Very low-key the way I like it. Smoking cones there isn't a problem, she smokes too. No other family members smoke that I know of, but besides immediate family here in Australia who I don't associate with, the rest are still in England. It's only ever a blessing.

I am all moved in to the new place, a few minor things to shuffle into place/boxes to unpack but I'm 95% there and th A/C here is awesome. 3 x 4HP Reverse Cyle Refrigerated Inverter Units and they were all cranking away. It was like an Igloo in here.

LOL! Jim was in shock I think. I was on the camera (filming) and No, I didn't get bumped, I was just trying to keep the camera on Jim while I was watching all the hotties go by (not as easy as it sounds) especially since I was (let's say) heavily medicated. Civilians aren't so much of a problem, we like the 'Liveness" of the people walking by, we feel it adds to the atmosphere of the clips. Thanks to your earlier advice the clips are improving in quality. I'm still going to get a new camera soon though. Either an Olympus TG-1 as used in the latest Bieber clip (amazing quality) or I might even fork out for one of these swish new Go-Pro cameras (even better quality).
Films look way, way better! You really need another camera? Image looks great, sound is as good as you can get outside a studio (at least I think so; my ears have taken a beating lately). You been using a tripod or a steadycam-like rig?

Yeah thanks the quality is getting better but I still want to get a better camera. I've just been a lazy shit and haven't been bothered to look, except for the two that I mentioned before. Still no tripod or anything to steady the image. Just little ol' me holding the camera, I like it that way.
I don't think it was my post you lurked if you remember those details. No accident, no lawsuit, no compensation. My back injury is a degenerative condition and hereditary, my father had it and my sister has it too, although nowhere near as bad as me yet. No it definitely wasn't at/from work. The only real work/job I've ever had is Armed Forces. I was in the Australian Army when I was younger. Besides that I've had no need to work. I got a very healthy inheritance from my Grandparents and invested well.
When you can shoulder a camera or a rifle, its gonna be pretty damn steady... cameras now are the size of a small bug :| If there's a steady-cam button, it'll help quick movements, but will kill overall picture quality to do so. If you hold the camera in your lap, just use a towel or something plushy.
May I ask the same of the condition? Yeah, guess I took a punt with that one, but didn't want to start a Spanish Inquisition or anything :3 You get veteran's health benefits or are they a bit primitive concerning your condition?
I get no Unemployment/Veterans benefits or anything of the sorts, not because of a primitive system, just because I'm too wealthy. I'm so far beyond the assets test the government requires that they would probably make me pay them. LOL!

It depends on how he feels and what he's actually submitting as to how much effort goes into it. Regardless of what other people may think of him, he's always going to be one of my favourite NG'ers. Certainly up the top of my list of good guys anyway, just like your good self.
Next year I'll have been here at NG for 12 years :| In that time, I've done squat, creatively speaking.
Maybe I could spam the writing forum with stories in the hope some animator will take it and run, but... being over 30 sucks, and I think this site's been sucking my creativity dry (or the internet in general).
Well as you know I recently passed my 10 year mark here on NG and I'm a couple of days away from levelling up to Level 51 and I have contributed some Audio tracks, no flash as such, just the stuff Mandog co-authored me on for helping with suggestions/ideas. (Thanks Mandog, you're awesome.) Regardless of the fact that you have not contributed anything physically to the site, (except your Art of course) you certainly have contributed considerably intellectually and to me that is just as, if not more important.
Also being over 30 does not suck!! Never let your age stand in the way of anything you desire. If you think like that you wont achieve anything. Remember the '27 Club' and all that potential mega-talent that has been lost. Imagine if those guys/girls were in their 40's or 50's or even their 60's now.

Playing Basketball or Ice Hockey or something like that? I'm probably completely wrong. I would have no problem catching up with you if you were here in Adelaide. Unfortunately I have a problem with travelling too far/too long because of my bad back. So I usually only travel long distance if it's absolutely necessary.

According to analysis, the EGB used to contain lots of conversations. Nowadays it's just a place to post a flash movie/game that needs to be removed. I feel like there's not much life in the EGB anymore.

I know what you mean. Even though I never posted in the EGB until fairly recently, I used to check it out a fair bit as I did with the Wi/Ht? Lvl Up Lounge but honestly after the bullshit that went on recently in there, I've noticed a considerable drop off in posts even in the last week or so. Personally, I've just been posting the blatantly obvious ones and nothing more.
