This is my first post in 6 years of visiting Newgrounds and only because in am utterly pissed off right now. How is it that some absolute moron can post a piece of shit flash movie basically abusing all NG users, calling them Fags and other demeaning and abusive names. But when I write a scathing review knowing full well that only he will get to read it, because the review would be deleted as soon as the piece of shit flash movie was deleted, which it obviously was going to be and eventually was. No surprise there. I know the review guidelines but in this instance thought what the hell no-one would see it but the dickhead that submitted it. Only to get a message 3 minutes later from (moderator) tigerkitty telling me I have been banned from reviewing for 20 days. I have been an NG member for over 6 years, it was a first time offence and without so much as a warning banned, I quite frankly think a 20 day ban is horse shit. And lets be brutally honest you can go find hundreds of reviews worse than what I wrote that are still in the system. Make me a moderator and I would show these idiot reviewers what is what. And how come when you review something you dont like poorly the author can reply back as OFFENSIVELY as they like and get away with it, how about giving reviewers the opportunity to submit bad replies to moderators and get the authors flash movies deleted. Fair is fair, an eye for an eye and all that. Jesus H. Christ I'm 41 years old, not some idiot child or some clueless 23 year old with a bad attitude. Anyway enough ranting I'm starting to feel like Foamy. Please comment I am interested on your views. Moderators also very welcome to reply.

I agree with you. However, the reason some people may make flashes that are awful is to receive scathing reviews and perhaps in the process get fine members of this community banned. That is my view.

you are spot on my friend, but after watching like 10 crapola flashes in a row that all got 0, then this absolute pile of abusive terd just pushed me over the edge, and well you know the rest.
I agree that there should be a report button on replies to reviews - soo frustrating when you happen to review something that's crap - and do it cool like - and get a flaming response. grrrr.

I have made my peace with tigerkitty now, so previous comments have been removed for p/c. tigerkitty is a lovely, polite, caring, curious person. Her decisions are reasonable and sensible and her moderating is straight down the line and as fair as could possibly be, but her punishments can be swift and harsh, so beware. But remember, they are always justifiable and deserved. It's true, it's true! Women moderators, making Newgrounds great since last Tuesday.
(I guess I should have updated this some time ago. So simon, you changed your name from whatever girly name it was and you changed your profile from female to male. Basically you were impersonating a female to get attention. Outstanding. It's totally mind boggling the mentality of some NGers, it really is.)
Don't feel bad. I initially had many reviews deleted because I spoke my mind about the junk that floods the portal. And I, too, am appalled that a submitter can say ANYTHING in the description of the work, or in a reply, and not be penalized at all. I wound up just not replying to crappy flashes, and only being "politically correct" when I do review. I guess it stops me from being a worse asshole than the one who submitted the flash.
We can't stop people from submitting flashes - that's their right. But I think that the whistle system needs to be extended to allow us to vote on the replies by the author, as well as the descriptions of the flash. I mean, what if the flash itself is just "harmless", like a single image or stupid text, but the author has written a very offense description or replies? I have seen mature and responsible reviews given on a poor flash, not using profanity, racial slurs or abuse - only to have the author reply with the filthiest obscenities.
Yes, these people are trolls. They are immature, and get a kick out of the negative responses they see when they do it. Most likely these are kids under 20 that just didn't get hugged enough from Mommy and Daddy, never had a puppy, and feel that the only attention they can get (or deserve) is negative. Sometimes you just feel sorry for them - and you pray that they never have children of their own!
Sorry about your ban - that wasn't fair. But I think things are getting better now. Maybe the next revision of NewGrounds will have a better whistle / reply system - or some other tool that helps keep this crud under control. Welcome back!

Since I started to learn the stupidity of many spammers who random crap on NG I'd rather review movies that are done well, there are a few authors who created a first movie/game and made it farewell good and are looking for constructive criticism and aren't total retards by which I try to give them a review on how to improve the movie/game tough those are rare.
I rarely review shit movies nowadays, I just stick to reviewing good flashes. Also I have no problem reviewing any flashes when the authors PM me asking for a review, these authors tend to respond to your reviews, which is good for keeping your review response percentage up. Stay Cool Friend.
I keep on getting my reviews deleted and one i had for months which was a good and they deleted it??? SCREW REVIEWS NO MORE EVER AGAIN
Dont not review movies/games. Just review the good ones and avoid reviewing obvious spam submissions. Thanks for your input.
