It seems all the metal we grew up with, came from where we lived. Now all the iron and steel comes from where we sent our scrap to, and we're getting it back at a much lower grade and weight. That goes for tools, cars, building materials etc...

Well here's some good news. I have a friend that owns a pub called The Gaslight Tavern and I got talking to him over the weekend and done some negotiating and he has agreed to have a listen to my mate Jims' band (still unnamed) tomorrow night and if he likes them (which he will) he is going to give them a permanent weekly gig. Jim is pretty stoked but still a bit shocked that I arranged it on such short notice. I will be there (obviously) and hopefully I will be able to record the whole performance (separate songs though, not in one hit, last time I done that the video got out of sync with the audio after about 10 minutes for some unknown reason) and they are doing a 45 minute session. Anyway I should have them all up on Youtube probably Wednesday or Thursday. So watch this space.

I still have most of my old consoles and hundreds of games. I have a lot of stuff in storage though. I'm fairly sure somewhere in the house with me I have my Atari 2600, my SNES, my Sega Saturn, my Gamecube and of course my Wii.

Nissan makes a nice cool planted car. Very glad to hear of a little diversity in the race.. had mixed feelings about that when nascar allowed, but no more. Don't really watch it anyway. But there is a drag strip not far away, and one year I got a full on press pass, shot the action just behind the guardrail. Shame my boss couldn't relieve me, those leading shots take a lot out of you.
Last summer concert I went to was up the North side of Lake Tahoe, some guy who played with Hendrix was main show, but he sucked and we jet early. Security seemed to put a damper on the pent up kids... ah, for days gone by.
